The 3DS just got a lot more customizable ⊟
Nintendo really gave the 3DS a facelift! The new standard models (not the XL editions unfortunately) coming to Japan will allow users to swap out its bottom and top covers with various designs, making it so they don’t have to buy limited edition hardware or apply decals just to get a new look for your system.
Not only that, Nintendo of Europe announced that Home menu themes (e.g Animal Crossing, Zelda, Mario) with special backgrounds, icons, folders, music, and sound effects are coming next month with a system update — this will be for all 3DSes and 2DSes, presumably including the new hardware!BUY Nintendo 2DS & 3DS/XL, upcoming games

Kirby 3DS accessories are so adorable ⊟
My finger is hovering over the “add to cart” button on that pouch featuring Kirby, Whispy Woods, and friends. Or it would be if I weren’t writing this. The card case, hard covers, and the other Nintendo 3DS pouch are pretty great too. Via NintendoTweet.

New Leaf’s theme music played by an orchestra
You can skip to 01:20 to hear the song played by an ensemble from the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses concert tour — God, when those strings come in, right? I only wish it was longer.
Nintendo UK has put up a lot of great New Leaf videos that I’ve been meaning to post. If you missed its series of interviews with series producer Katsuya Eguchi, make sure to watch these videos on the origins of Animal Crossing, Mr. Resetti getting laid off, and why furniture appear as leaves in the game. I could read or listen to the game’s developers talk about their inspirations and design decisions for hours.
